Aerosmith Closes California, Dream On Run at Hollywood Bowl

News

Aerosmith closed its two concert California, Dream On run at the Hollywood Bowl in Los Angeles on November 1, 2026. The second show completed the band's first live performances since 2023, when its Peace Out farewell tour stopped after three dates because Steven Tyler suffered a larynx injury.

Guests lead into Aerosmith’s finale

The guest segment lasted 75 minutes and featured members of Heart, Guns N' Roses and the Black Crowes, along with Marcus King, Lzzy Hale and Tom Morello. King opened with “Same Old Song And Dance,” then played “Draw The Line” and “Nobody’s Fault” with Jerry Cantrell, Mike Inez and Richie Kotzen. Hale and Morello performed “Kings and Queens” and “Round and Round.” Morello briefly played with his teeth and showed the handwritten message “Dream On” beneath his guitar. Guns N' Roses covered “Mama Kin,” “S.O.S. (Too Bad),” “Rats In the Cellar” and “Sick As A Dog,” followed by “Sweet Child O’ Mine” and “Nightrain.” The Black Crowes played Aerosmith songs including “Let The Music Do The Talking” and “No More No More.” Aerosmith then opened with a fireworks backed “Toys In The Attic.” Its set also included “Come Together,” “Back In The Saddle,” “Sweet Emotion” and “Dream On,” whose closing section Tyler sang from atop a grand piano as Joe Perry stood at center stage.

Run DMC returns for Walk This Way

Original drummer Joey Kramer joined Aerosmith for “Walk This Way,” repeating his appearance during the same song at the first California, Dream On concert. Aerosmith stopped the performance before Run DMC came onstage and joined the band. Master of ceremonies Bill Burr had introduced the October 29 concert as the first of Aerosmith’s final two shows, but Tyler disputed it at the finale. “You can't get rid of Aerosmith,” he told the audience. Tyler later reflected on the band's 55 years together, while Perry thanked the participating musicians. Neither Tyler nor Perry confirmed whether Aerosmith will return after the Hollywood Bowl concerts.
