Fender Tone Master Pro to Gain NAM A2 Compatibility

News

Fender confirmed on October 30, 2026, that NAM A2 compatibility is coming to the Tone Master Pro in what could be the modeler's most significant update yet. The company disclosed the work on the official Tone Master Pro Users forum, and the post was later shared on Reddit.

Captures

NAM A2 launched in June as an open source architecture for capturing gear. It lets players capture their own equipment or use amp, cabinet and pedal models created by brands and other users.

Compatible hardware can access thousands of professional tones and tones made by users through the TONE3000 library. The Zoom Neurig and Blackstar BEAM Mini are among the devices that already support NAM access.

Fender plans to integrate those captures into the Tone Master Pro's full signal chain. Players will be able to place a NAM capture in a preset like one of the modeler's other amps, then control it through the touchscreen or the companion app. Each capture will also support an individual graphic, allowing imported models to have their own visual identity within the interface.

The commitment puts Fender among the first major modeler manufacturers to announce NAM A2 support. Its plans come ahead of comparable commitments from Neural DSP, Line 6 and IK Multimedia.

Fender's team is still testing the feature, so its behavior and final implementation remain under development. No release date has been announced. The Tone Master Pro's previous major update arrived in December 2025.
