Brian May Clears Up Queen's Live Future: 'I'm on a Break'
Brian May has corrected reports about Queen's live future, saying he was slightly misquoted and never ruled out touring again. "I'm on a break," May said, explaining that he enjoys life away from extended tours but remains open to returning to the road.

A break from long tours
May is spending more time with his children and grandchildren while working on studio projects, astrophysics and animal welfare campaigning. He said he may wake up one day and decide that Queen should perform again, but he does not expect to commit to another tour lasting nine months.
For now, May prefers choosing individual appearances rather than following a full touring schedule. He recently performed with Andrea Bocelli at the Starmus Festival and also enjoyed appearing with Benson Boone.
The guitarist remains uncertain about the status of a proposed Queen project at the Sphere. He is still interested in building a 360 degree musical environment around a Queen retrospective, with a template already in mind. May said the concept would differ from ABBA's production because the two bands have different histories, but progress on the idea has been slow.
May also remains in contact with Adam Lambert and attended Lambert's show at the Roundhouse. Queen and Lambert previously tried recording new music during a studio session that May believes took place in Nashville. He found the session interesting, but it did not feel fully successful and they did not return to the material.
May confirmed that he and Lambert have not discussed another project. Although future Queen performances remain possible, he does not want to tour full time at this point.
