U2 announce new 2027 UK-Europe leg of The Greatest Show On Earth
U2 have announced a new UK and European leg of The Greatest Show On Earth world tour for spring 2027. Wolf Alice will support the band on the newly revealed European shows.
Stockholm to Milan with Wolf Alice
The itinerary covers Stockholm, Paris, Lisbon, Amsterdam, London, Berlin and Milan. U2 had already confirmed Latin American concerts for February and March 2027, with Beck supporting shows in São Paolo, Buenos Aires and Mexico City.
The band has also previewed its forthcoming album, Carnaval de Luz, with Street of Dreams. The song's video shows U2 performing on the roof of a Mexico City bus in pouring rain.
The iTunes stunt revisited
Bono also revisited the automatic delivery of Songs of Innocence to more than 500 million iTunes users in 2015. He said the release went too far and accepted responsibility for it.
He explained that U2 had been experimenting with a distribution model in which a company such as Apple paid for the music before sending it to listeners. Bono said experimentation was needed in a music business where other musicians receive very little pay.
The Edge defended taking risks and said failure was part of the job. Producer Flood previously argued that the episode raised unresolved questions about how society values music and about the listening tastes of individual users.

Tickets for the newly announced UK and European shows go on sale Monday 2 November.
