Fender Honors George Harrison: Limited-Edition Dark Horse Stratocaster

Fender Japan unveiled a limited edition George Harrison and Dark Horse Records collection on October 16, 2026, led by a Stratocaster available in three colors. The collaboration celebrates Harrison and his label through the guitar, a Dhani Harrison ukulele, accessories, and apparel.

Collection details
Dark Horse Records background: George Harrison created the label in conjunction with his fifth solo album. Dhani Harrison assumed control in 2020, and the label has released music by the Traveling Wilburys, Billy Idol, Cat Stevens, and Jon Lord.
Dark Horse Records Stratocaster: The guitar costs ¥198,000, approximately $1,250, and comes in Black, Orange, and Olympic White. Each version has custom Dark Horse artwork, gold hardware, and an engraved neckplate. Construction includes an alder body, a maple neck with a Modern C profile, and a rosewood fingerboard with a 9.5 inch radius and 22 medium jumbo frets. Three Player Series Alnico 5 single coil pickups connect to a five way selector. Hardware includes a two point synchronized tremolo with bent steel saddles and Fender ClassicGear tuners.
Ukulele, accessories, and apparel: The Dhani Harrison signature ukulele costs ¥75,900 and reflects his approach to music and design. A Dark Horse inspired guitar strap costs ¥10,450 and comes in a premium gift box. A ¥3,850 pick set contains 12 unique designs. The made in Japan apparel capsule contains 15 pieces, including T shirts, shirts, sweatshirts, and denim. Its designs draw from George Harrison’s personal style and the visual history of Dark Horse Records, with prices reaching ¥77,000.

What guitar players should know
The tribute pairs its Dark Horse graphics with a detailed Stratocaster specification. Players can assess the 9.5 inch fingerboard radius, 22 frets, Player Series pickups, five way selector, and two point tremolo alongside the commemorative artwork. The separate ukulele and accessories extend the collection beyond the electric guitar. The Black Stratocaster is exclusive to Fender’s flagship Tokyo store, while the Orange and Olympic White versions are available for preorder through select channels.
