Iron Maiden Announce Surprise 2027 North American Tour

Iron Maiden have announced a surprise 2027 North American tour despite previously planning a break from live performances that year. The schedule is the third and final leg of the band's Run for Your Lives 50th-anniversary trek, with 16 shows followed by two festival appearances.
Dates, destinations and support
The run opens April 14 in Tacoma, Washington, and continues through May 11 in Belmont Park, New York. After the 16 tour shows, Iron Maiden will play Sonic Temple in Columbus, Ohio, and Boardwalk Rock in Ocean City, Maryland. Steve Harris said the 2027 route was designed to cover areas left unvisited by the previous leg. It therefore focuses on parts of the Northwest and Southeast that the band missed before. Bullet for My Valentine and the Raven Age will support Iron Maiden across the run. The pairing means this will be Iron Maiden's first tour since 1983 with a bill comprising three British bands. Harris also noted that festival sets place Iron Maiden before crowds extending beyond the band's own fans. He said that makes festivals a challenge, and that the band enjoys it.

Why it matters to guitar players
For guitar players, the support lineup is the central detail. Three British bands will share the same touring bill, a setup Iron Maiden have not used since 1983. The festival appearances add a different setting because the band expects listeners outside its established fan base. That gives players two distinct contexts for the final leg: the dedicated 16-show run and the broader festival crowds at Sonic Temple and Boardwalk Rock.
