Offspring guitarist Noodles steps away over sudden health issue

The Offspring guitarist Kevin “Noodles” Wasserman announced on October 21, 2026 that he was stepping away from live performances immediately because of a sudden and fairly serious health issue. He hopes to return to the stage sooner rather than later.

A sudden, serious health issue
Wasserman did not disclose the nature of the health problem or provide a diagnosis. He said the condition required him to withdraw from live performances for a while, but he did not give a return date. His bandmates supported the decision and confirmed that The Offspring would continue performing during his absence. Guitarist Joe Satriani also sent Wasserman a public message wishing him a speedy recovery. Wasserman has played with The Offspring for more than four decades, although accounts differ on the exact start of his tenure. Some place his arrival in 1984, while others give 1985. His announcement concerns the band’s live shows, and no wider pause in its scheduled performances has been announced.

Four shows remain scheduled
The Offspring have not confirmed who will play guitar in Wasserman’s place at the upcoming shows. Four appearances remain scheduled, with three taking place in late 2026 and the fourth in early 2027:
- October 24, 2026: The Wiltern in Los Angeles
- November 6, 2026: SEMA Fest in Las Vegas
- November 21, 2026: Corona Capital in Mexico City
- January 16, 2027: iHeartRadio ALTer EGO at the Kia Forum
The band plans to continue with these performances while Wasserman steps away to address his health.
